Gergely specializes in competition law, bringing extensive experience in cartel, merger control, and abuse of dominance cases, as well as in consumer protection proceedings. He also has practical experience in litigation before the European Court of Justice and, more broadly, in the enforcement of EU law.

Before joining Danubia Legal in February 2024, Gergely studied in London and was awarded a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Competition Law at King’s College London. His previous roles include working at international law firms in Budapest and Brussels. Gergely’s past working experience also includes the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition in Brussels. In addition, Gergely served as a Chief Advisor at Hungary’s highest instance judicial forum, the Curia, where he was involved in private competition litigation, company law-related cases, and other civil disputes, preparing drafts of judgments in these fields.
